Raul Duarte Salgueiral Gomes Campilho is a Permanent Associate Professor with Habilitation at the School of Engineering, ISEP, Porto, Portugal, specializing in Applied Mechanics. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from ISEP, a Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from FEUP, both with distinction, and a Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering also from FEUP.
Since 2003, he has taught across institutions including ISEP, FEUP, and ULP, covering subjects such as Finite Element Method, Mechanics of Materials, Machine Design, and Industrial Automation. He has supervised 6 Ph.D. theses at FEUP, 3 Ph.D. theses at ISEP, nearly 300 M.Sc. theses, and over 50 B.Sc. theses.
Prof. Campilho is a prolific author, with 58 books, 196 book chapters, and over 420 papers in indexed international journals in areas such as fracture mechanics, composite materials, and adhesive joint design. He has delivered 70 keynote lectures and over 800 conference papers worldwide, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Academia Materials Science Journal, with extensive guest editorial experience.
He has organized 10 international conferences, moderated more than 120 technical sessions, and contributed to 370 scientific committees. His research involvement includes projects funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and the European Commission, where he has also acted as principal investigator.
Recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists since 2017, Prof. Campilho continues to advance mechanical engineering research and education, while contributing to the global scientific community through teaching, publications, and leadership roles

Dr. Felipe Francisco Castillón Barraza is a researcher at CNyN-UNAM, Unidad Ensenada, specializing in materials physics and nanostructures. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Physics from CICESE in 1998, following degrees in Chemistry and Polymers & Materials from the University of Sonora. With over three decades of academic and research experience, Dr. Castillón has published more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, 30 conference papers, and one edited book, accumulating around 1,700 citations and an H-index of 24. He has directed multiple theses at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels and led six government-funded scientific projects. Since 2002, he has been recognized as a Level 1 Investigator in the Mexican System of National Investigators, reflecting his significant contributions to advancing materials science in Mexico and internationally.

Karol Kyzioł is a Professor at AGH in the field of Materials Engineering, Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Modelling and Head of the Laboratory of Vapour Deposited Materials.
His academic achievements consist of 140 published scientific publications, including 43 from the base of Journal Citation Reports (including 42 which were published after gaining his doctoral degree), with a total IF is ca. 135. Prof. Kyzioł is also the author of monography titled “Functional coatings deposited in plasma chemical conditions” and co-author two book chapters, "Handbook of Composite from Renewable Materials", Vol 4, Functionalization (2017, Wiley Scrivener) and "Surface functionalization with biopolymers via plasma-assisted surface grafting and plasma-induced graft polymerization – materials for biomedical application" in vol. "Biopolymer Grafting: Applications" (2018, Elsevier).
Additionally, the results of his research were presented at 50 scientific conferences (including 39 international ones). He is a co-author of two patents (PL – 221932 B1, 2016) concerning a method of improving the mechanical properties of Al alloys and PL 236571 B1, 2021), which includes the use of a plasma chemical method to modify on lays for bumpers.
His conducted scientific research received several awards for scientific achievement from the Rector of AGH UST (2013, 2014, 2016, 2022). Furthermore, the results of the conducted studies concerning aluminium treatment (in cooperation with TUL) were distinguished, inter alia, at the international exhibition INTEX in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia, 2012). Additionally, at this exhibition the studies received a gold medal and during the exhibitions in Seoul (Korea, 2012) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania, 2013), a gold and bronze medal, respectively.

Professor E.F. Sheka is the author of 390 articles and six monographs. Her areas of interest include excitons and phonons (optical spectroscopy, inelastic neutron scattering, calculations) of molecular crystals, as well as exciton-phonon interaction and vibronic spectra of molecular crystals; phase transformations in molecular solids with liquid-crystalline behavior (vibrational spectroscopy and neutron diffraction); the launch and development of neutron scattering spectroscopy as applied to vibrational spectroscopy of nanoparticles; quantum-chemical modeling of nano-objects as the launch and development of virtual materials science, virtual fullerenics, virtual chemical physics of graphene, the concept of digital twins of nanomaterials as a new model of virtual nanotechnology; the first steps into the virtual worlds of science using polymerization and carbon science as examples. She is a member of the 2% list of the most cited scientists in the world.
